Training A Dog Not To Jump On People
By Amanda Charl - 5:31 PM
Some people love it when their dog jumps on them, especially when they are small and adorable. However, it is a coincidence that a friend or family member discovers it, so you find it is not right for your dog to jump. The fastest way for your dog to learn to jump on people is to teach your dog the "off" command.
Start if your dog is just a puppy or as soon as he gets it. When you jump over you for the first time, repeat the word "out" and make sure it is clear of you. When you stop trying to jump on it, be sure to reward it with love. If you are excited again and continue the jump, repeat the above steps. By teaching your dog this word, your guests will have a powerful tool against your dog and help you establish your estate as an alpha in your dog's pack.
Make sure everyone knows that you should also use the "off" command. Your visitors may not see the damage if you allow your dog to jump alone with them, but this creates an inconsistent motive and your dog will have difficulty learning the command, even if he thinks he already knows. If you or your guests tell your dog to leave, you can not smile or laugh as your dog recognizes the tone of your voice and continues to act. If your guests can not follow your rules, you must separate the dog from them, otherwise you will not learn.
If you do not want your dog to jump on humans, it is recommended to do a puppy workout. A puppy of only one week can be trained.
The owner of a pet must create a summary of the dog's behavioral program to prevent him from constantly jumping over people. Try to determine if the dog is receiving mixed signals through its behavior.
When the dog jumps and gets a caress, a hug or even a reward, the animal comes up with the idea that this action is good and always brings rewards.
The first thing to do is stop giving rewards or show positive gestures when the dog jumps. The training program must ensure that the dog is not confused with what he should learn.
The basic command to approach the jumping behavior is to teach the dog how to sit and stay.
In this first part of the program, go to the back door of the front door. Order the dog to sit down and sit down when he does, so he has the idea that he should behave on entering or leaving the doors. Invite other family members to join the program.
Tell them to go the same way, but they must first order the dog to sit down before they open the door. The dog will have trouble not being aroused. It is therefore best to repeat the routine over and over again to get it right.
Dogs, especially puppies, can be influenced, but become abusive if they are constantly receiving excessive attention. Pet owners should never give a dog the right to act domestically, even if it is sweet and cuddly.
Keep in mind that puppies learn quickly. What you need to avoid is to beat the dog hard or make a serious mistake.
These are some of the most important things to learn obedience training your dog. If you want to train your dog successfully, you must always be patient and persistent.
