Dog Training Tips Revealed - Train Your Dog to Sit and Stay
By Amanda Charl - 8:07 PM
Dogs are indeed man's best friend, but man's best friend must be trained to sit at home and stay in harmony, a dog who is safe and a homeowner who can control that.
In order to educate your dog to sit, treats or small food pieces are required.
The first step in getting your dog ready to sit down is to stand in front of him and keep a whim on his nose but out of reach. Then move the candy over your dog's head and back toward his tail. In doing so, pronounce the name of the dog and give a clear command to "sit down".
Hold the candy up to the nose, too high to reach but not high enough for the dog to jump on it. Then pronounce the word "good" as soon as the dog feels.
It is important to congratulate the dog with the word "good" when it obeys a sitting position. Congratulate the dog in abundance and have him treat each time he obeys and sits down to seat himself.
Finally, always give your dog a "release" or "release" command to free him from sitting.
If you want to prepare your dog to stay, treats or small items of food are also required.
In order to prepare your dog for staying, you must first know the command that you must follow in order to release it. Most owners and coaches use the command "free" or "good" release. Make sure it matches the release command used.
The first step in educating your dog to stay is to lie down in front of you. Place your hand in front of your dog's nose with your palm open and give the command "Stay".
If the dog stays, congratulate him by saying "good" just then, if he remains motionless after the "stay" command.
Make sure you give the release command and congratulate the dog in abundance. Always reward your dog, even if only one second remains.
Now you want to extend the waiting time of your dog by delaying the "good" and the sweets while the dog remains in the position to "stay" more and more with each repeated command.
Keep the training short (5 minutes) to make your dog happy.
The release command must be given after each attempt. Reward every successful attempt, as well as success.
Do not leave your dog in the "Stay" position and then walk until your dog fully understands the "Stay" order.
Keep in mind that dog training should not take more than 5 minutes. If you wish, you can repeat the exercise several times a day, but do not exercise for more than 5 minutes at a time.
