Leash Training Dogs - 4 Dead Simple Steps to Stop Your Dog From Pulling on the Leash!
By Amanda Charl - 1:01 AM
Dog leash training is one of the first things you should do if you want to take your dog regularly. Without this, you will not be able to take regular walks with your pet and will probably give up on this idea in about a month. In this article you will learn how to stop your dog from pulling his leash. However, if you know the proper training methods, it is possible to tie your dog to a level that both are waiting with excitement for this activity.
Step 1 - Choose the right necklace
One of the first things you should know when training a dog on a leash is to use a standard leather collar instead of a drowned collar. You want to make sure your dog is comfortable with the collar and that it does not hurt. Try to bring it into play or eat to distract yourself from attaching a foreign body to your body. Then tie the collar to a leash and let your dog run freely with them until you forget something is sticking to your neck.
Step 2 - Before you go for a walk with him
The second step in training dogs on a leash is to bring them outside. Take the leash and make sure your dog does not jump and pull you to the door. If he just stops and waits for him to calm down. It may take 30 seconds or 10 minutes, but be patient. Your dog must understand that if he does not stop shivering, he will not go anywhere. First, bring your dog to the place he knows well and do not be distracted by cars or new people (such as your driveway).
Step 3 - Let's go!
Leashes training dogs have to do with repetition and patience. The third step is to repeat the same thing over and over again until your dog understands the rules. Take a step and wait for your pet to come to you. As soon as he tells you to sit down and reward yourself with a treat. Go one step further and call your dog again so he can reach you. If you try to run to another place and pull on the belt, stop and ask him to return. Again congratulate him and reward him for releasing the leash. You can increase the number of steps as soon as your dog starts to constantly follow his movements in one step and sit when he stops.
Step 4 - How to make sure your pet understands the lesson?
Now that you know the basics of dog leash, you can walk in your neighborhood. Whenever your dog pushes you toward something, stop and ask him to come back. It will only reward you if you follow your steps with a loose strap. Try to change the direction in which you move quickly and check if the dog follows you. The strap can only be stretched for a fraction of a second. This is the time your dog needs to recognize it and adjust its course accordingly. He must understand that the only way for him is to follow in his footsteps and listen to his commands.
Will he, I see, be pulled by your dog instead of walking around? I see people keeping their dogs on a leash all the time. Then all the while I see people being pulled by dogs. This can be very frustrating if you try to take your dog for a walk. If you feel frustrated, do not walk with your dog and your dog should be shown, he needs exercise. So please do not give up, there is hope that I promise you.
You will see dogs walking beside their owners, then you will see some dogs clinging to their leash and walking their owners who you are. The only reason dogs pull on a leash is because they are happy. You do not know what bothers you, you are just excited. When a dog comes out, there is so much to see that he wants to hurry to see everything he can. You never really know what's going on in the minds of dogs, they may need to hurry up and get to the "place" before another dog does, or they just want to run it. I know that when my dog runs out he only wants to chase the cat next to him. Go to this cat and he leaves, he comes out of the house like a rocket.
There may be a number of things your dog wants to see. The key to helping your dog pull on his leash is training. With a good workout, your dog runs by your side all day long. When your dog starts to run and play, stay calm. At first it gets a bit difficult, but with the right training it will be easier.
